Workshop on PCE for the LIS professionals in Sri Lanka

The Sri Lanka Library Association (SLLA) with the support of IFLA/BSLA has initiated a programme to promote and propagate Professional Conduct and Ethical (PCE) culture among library and information professionals in Sri Lanka. As initial phase, a three day workshop to train the trainers on PCE was organized and ceremonially inaugurated at Hotel Renuka , Colombo on 23rd March 2016.

The workshop is facilitated by an IFLA/BSLA trainer, Prof. Gillian Hallam from Queensland University of Technology, Australia. The SLLA President, Ms. Shivanthi Weerasinghe delivered the welcome address to the participants, who represented academic, special, school and public libraries from different parts of the country.
